Blood Donation Camp & Tree Plantation on Symbiosis International Students’ Day
On the occasion of Symbiosis International Students’ Day and Hon. Chancellor Dr. S. B. Mujumdar Sir’s birthday on 31 July, SIIB, like every year, organised a tree plantation drive and a blood donation drive at SIIB and SIC.
“Time spent among trees is never wasted time.”, says Katrina Mayer. The event of the plantation drive started with Dr. Asmita Chitnis planting a sapling in the campus followed by the teaching faculty, staff and the students. It was a delight to see the smiling faces in the showers of rain contributing towards environmental conservation.
Living by the words: “Donate your blood for a reason, let the reason be life.”, the blood donation drive organised at SIC by SCHC saw maximum participation by the SIIB students Faculty and staff members like every year. Conducted from 9.00 a.m. to 5 p.m., everyone waited for their turn to contribute to this noble cause.
Both the events awakened spirits of compassion among everyone. Our kind gestures towards a humble cause can bring about wonders for the mankind.
