SIIB has Won Best College in India Award - Hall of fame for 2015 UN SE4All
SIIB has added another feather to its cap after having won the Best College in India Award- Hall of Fame 2015 for the prestigious United Nations Sustainable Energy For All- All India Program - RIO +22.
Rohit Pandita from the Energy and Environment Batch of 2014-16 was appointed as Campus Ambassador cum Co-ordinator by “IARC-Centre for United Nations” for conducting Rio+22 Sustainable Energy for All India Power Program (2015) which is a National Level co-curricular program under United Nations General Assembly (A/RES/65/151) and also for COP-21 International Paris Certificate Program. SIIB won the Gold plaque and Rohit won the Medal of Honour for the Campus Ambassador.
The evaluation criteria was based on the overall performance of the participating students from the college, including both the senior and junior batch, and also the way it was conducted.
It is pertinent to mention that The United Nations General Assembly had unanimously declared the decade 2014‑2024 as the Decade of Sustainable Energy for All, underscoring the importance of energy issues for sustainable development and for the elaboration of the post-2015 development agenda with the aim to "Create the Future We Want."
