Outbound Trip of Batch 19-21
MBA is all about management but not necessary that all of it is taught inside a class. An outbound program entails a series of fun activities designed to improve leadership, communication, management, and teamwork among the students. As per the tradition, the latest batch of SIIB – Batch of 2019 - 21 was taken to Surya Shibir for their outbound program.
The program was conducted over 2 days. Day 1 kick-started with a set of games and activities, each of which required the students to put on their thinking caps. Students had to come up with innovative ideas to showcase their decision making, strategizing, and out-of-the-box thinking abilities. There were also fun activities like Valley Crossing and Burma Bridge for those in search of the perfect adrenaline rush.
In the evening, all the students put up a show of their non-MBA skills. Some impressed the crowd with their dancing skills, some with singing, and others also engaged with the crowd with their creative skits. It was just a glimpse of the SIIB spirit.
Day 2 was started with Yoga and Meditation which was followed by a trek up the hill. Amidst nature, the trek was a tiring yet a fun experience. The series of activities was wrapped up with the Director of SIIB, Dr. Asmita Chitnis joining the students for the final activity challenging the thought process of students.
The outbound program was well received by all the students who left the place making at least one new friend if not more and also learning key aspects of management. All in all, it was a great learning experience for the students and the program was a successful one.
