Marketing Fair- Mark-Ex
Brimming with enthusiasm and energy, the IB batch of 2016-18 enthralled all present with the first of its kind Marketing Fiesta “Mark-Ex” at SIIB on the 8th of September, 2016. Mark-Ex was a marketing fair where the students were split into a number of teams and provided a platform to set up stalls which would help them materialize their ideas and stoke the entrepreneurial fire in them. The event not only honed the marketing strategies and skill but in general gave a good insight on business.
The event began at 11:00 AM in a grand fashion with faculties visiting the stalls and trying their hands at all that was on offer with a lot of inquisitiveness to know about the marketing strategies adopted by the teams. The event witnessed teams coming up with stalls right from Travel &Tourism, Mocktails, Milkshakes, Handicrafts and Recycled products to Tasty Momos & Burgers. Almost all the teams which participated in the event were able to break even and realize a considerable profit. The aim of the event was to make sure that students learnt to put into practice various marketing strategies for realizing profits with minimum amount of capital investment.
To sum up, the event was received positively by both the students & faculty alike and was a great learning experience for everyone involved.
