Know Your Specialization Workshop - Batch 2019-2021

A series of “Know Your Specialization” workshops were held at Symbiosis Institute of International Business for the students of MBA-International Business, MBA- Agri-Business and MBA – Energy and Environment, Batch 2019-2021 on the 20th of July, 2019. The keynote speakers for these sessions were Mr. Anirudha Joshi, General Manager of Esteco Software; Mr. Shrirang Sajanapwar, Senior Business Analyst of Maersk Link; Mr. Vivek Khatri, Senior Consultant at Capgemini; Mr. Amit Kumar Yadav, Head of Market Development and Innovation- Asia Pacific at Omya Agriculture and Forestry and, Mr. Daryl Peris, Maersk Procurement. They had an interactive session with the students of Batch 2019-2021 about their fields of specializations such as Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Agri-Business and Energy and Environment respectively. They went on to encourage the students to engage in research, understand the kind of careers they would be best suited for and gradually work towards that goal. After this, they spoke about the global trends in the fields of finance, marketing and supply chain management that the respective industries are expected to be headed towards in the near future. The alumni then enlightened the audience about how talent and willingness to work and sustain in the field will help us grow instead of technical knowledge, which can be gained throughout our lives. A lot of new insights were obtained by the students through a question-answer session held at the end of the lectures where myths about the industry were demystified by the esteemed speakers. The interactive and insightful session ended with the alumni wishing the students the best of luck for their future career choices.
