On 23rd of August, the students of MBA- International Business batch 2019-21, interacted with the distinguished Mr. Rohit Pathak, CEO, Aditya Birla Power Composites. Mr. Rohit Pathak shared his insights on the ‘Power/Energy sector and various trends in the industry’.
Mr. Pathak started the discussion by talking about his journey so far in the industry in different roles and his stint at his present organization. He explained how global power demand has been increasing steadily and that there has been a dramatic change in the supply side driven by solar, wind energy.
He went on to talk about the rapid move towards renewables and several mega-trends altering the industry which is helping the markets grow bigger and become more decentralized. Mr. Pathak explained at length about seven key drivers that will impact the nature of T&D investment, namely, power demand, energy mix, distributed generation, vehicle electrification, energy management, global gas, de-regulation.
He also touched upon how Aditya Birla Power Composites has been a reliable and trustworthy player in the market. The session concluded with an interesting Q&A where students got meaningful insights from Mr. Pathak. In all, the session was an interactive one.
