Dr.(Mrs.) R. R. Gupte has completed her Ph.D. at the Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, Pune. Her Ph.D. work relates to the “Impact of the trade liberalisation in India on the protection of Indian Industry” .
Dr. Gupte started her teaching career at Loyola College, Chennai in 1980. After a couple of years, she moved into research. She now has about 22 years of experience in teaching and research, of which the last 13 years have been at SIIB.
She also had the opportunity to work in Industry for a span of 6 years, which has helped her gain a practical perspective. |

Dr. (Mrs.) Rajani Gupte has conducted several Management Development Programmes and consultancy assignments for corporates. She has given several paper presentations on numerous topics and attended several seminars organised by Federation of Indian Export Organisation (FIEO), Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC), Maratha Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA), CII and other Industry Associations. She is the author of the book titled ‘International Business Management' for Post Graduate students
For the last three years, Dr. Gupte has been teaching a spring semester course on “International Trade policy” to MBA students at Oakland University, School of Business Administration, Michigan, USA. This is a part of the faculty exchange programme with Oakland University.
