Symbiosis Institute of International Business [SIIB] once again proved its capability by bouncing back in the placement arena after the Indian economy started to improve from the global financial crisis.
On the backdrop of the improving economy, SIIB managed to complete a very creditable placement progress for the batch of 2010. The Institute provided placement close to 91% of the eligible students of MBA – International Business and close to 95% of the eligible students of MBA – Agri Business. 26 companies recruited MBA – International Business students, whereas 21 companies recruited MBA – Agri Business students.
Sectors like FMCG, PSUs, IT/ITES, Consulting, BFSI, Telecom, etc. recruited MBA – IB students while sectors like BFSI, Agri Input, Fisheries, Retail, PSUs, etc,. were the major recruiters for MBA – AB students. At the same time, several students received Pre Placement Offers [PPO].

The major recruiters for MBA –IB [08-10] included Coke India, Infosys, Deloitte, HCL Technologies, Union Bank of India, CitiBank, TCS E-Serve, HDFC Standard Life Insurance, Central Bank of India, Firstsource, Genpact, Asian Paints, Mahindra & Mahindra, Irevna, Wipro, Godrej & Boyce and State Trading Corporation [STC].
