Founded in 1971, the Symbiosis Society is the visionary creation of  Padmashree Dr. S. B. Mujumdar, whose dream to live the philosophy - Vasudev Kutumbakam – ‘The World is a Family’ has created an environment where students have come to breach the boundaries of culture, religion and nationality. Three and a half decades of perseverance and commitment has gone in to deliver the most relevant and contemporary education in all fields. 

 

With over 30 institutions spread across the country through 14 sprawling campuses and close to a 100,000 students under its fold the Symbiosis family has indeed left an indelible mark on the face of Indian education.

 

The Symbiosis Institute of International Business (SIIB), formerly known as the Symbiosis Institute of Foreign Trade (SIFT) and an integral part of the Symbiosis International University, was established in 1992 to provide budding managers with the foresight to tackle the sweeping changes of the liberalized Indian economy. The dictum of the institution has always been to ‘Equip for Change’ which it has successfully done for the last seventeen years.

 

With a view to incorporate the ideals of greatest brains of management from F W Taylor to Warren Buffet and a module encompassing each and every aspect of international business and not just foreign trade SIFT was reborn as the Symbiosis Institute of International Business (SIIB).
