    SIIB students of Agri Business [07-09] carried out a Market study covering 6  states of India during 22nd to 30th sept  .2008,.The extensive  study was divided into nine groups of students for the crop of Sesame and Groundnut seeds in the states of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka ,traveling more than 12000 kms, interviewing around 500 farmers,100 traders as well as different APMCS, Govt. Institutions and research centers operating in the area.

    The students of Symbiosis Institute of International Business were assigned the task of Market Research, by the Indian Oil seeds &Produce Exporters Association[ Export Promotion Council] for the second year in succession. They have  expressed utter satisfaction over the performance of our students observed during the presentation conducted at the “Trade Meet” on the 13th Oct 2008 at Mahabaleshwar. The presentation on the study Report which was backed by extensive data aimed at estimation of production ,yield, quality and analyzing the impact of weather aberrations, pesticide use ,irrigation facility etc.was explained in the analytical form to the gathering of around three hundred traders, exporters and experts in this field.
