Aarohan 2011 - "The Missing Link" Case Study Competition - 25/02/2011
Aarohan, a dream that started in the year 2008 culminated with SIIB hosting its first ever Supply Chain Summit – Aarohan ’08. In the following three consecutive years, Aarohan has successfully established itself as being the only event dedicated solely to Supply Chain Management.
Aarohan has been consistently attracting stalwarts from both the Corporate and the Academia as speakers and judges and also has witnessed an enthusiastic support from the best B-school brains all across the country. Every year a theme is decided and whole event circumscribes this theme. Last year, i.e. Aarohan’10 had the theme as “Innovation in Supply Chain Management”.
The highlight of Aarohan over the years has been the National Level Case Study Competition, where in the case study is designed by the students of SIIB from scratch with able guidance from the mentors.
Aarohan’11 is scheduled to be held on 25th February, 2010 this year. The theme for Aarohan’11 is “Case Files: The Missing Links in Supply Chain”.Today the competition is not between individual firms but their Supply Chains. To have a competitive advantage Supply Chains need to identify the missing link and patch it up before others get ahead.
The event will constitute a “Supply Chain Conference” where eminent personalities from varied spheres will share their views on the theme. The objective of this conference is to bring forth the challenges faced by professionals in various sectors.
The “Pharmaceutical Industry” is chosen to be the premise for this year’s case study. The issues and challenges in whole of the pharma supply chain have been interwoven to form a live case study with able guidance from our mentors.
Over the past few years, Aarohan has established its niche amongst MBA students aspiring to be Supply Chain professionals. It has received overwhelming support from Supply Chain Industry personnel. As we march past our laurels with an insatiable drive for excellence, we would like to address emerging Supply Chain Issues which are of strategic importance in challenging business environments.
